A software tool that helps you control your weight.


Main Window

The main Weight Loss Program window looks like this:

Here you will find the following areas: Calendar, Your Balance, Recommendation, Body Measurements Button, My Menu, My Routine.

Calendar

The Calendar lets you quickly review your progress. You can navigate through the calendar to get to the desired date and see your information for that day. This includes your weight for that day and your caloric balance, as well as food and activity details in My Menu and My Routine. For more information, see Calendar.

Your Balance

Your caloric balance (or energy balance) is the difference between the number of calories you take in and the number you burn and it determines your weight change as follows:

  • If these numbers are equal, your weight remains unchanged.
  • If the number of calories you take in is greater than the number you burn up (your energy balance is positive), you gain weight.
  • If the number you burn up is greater than the number of calories you take in (your energy balance is negative), you lose weight.

Weight Loss Program calculates your daily caloric balance using the data on intake and expenditure you enter every day.

Recommendation

After your daily caloric balance is calculated, Weight Loss Program generates a recommendation on what you should do to achieve your goal. The program advises you to consume more calories, to burn more calories, or to continue at your current levels. You need to enter data into My Menu and My Routine to obtain dietary and activity recommendations. For detailed information, see Adding Food to My Menu and Adding Activity to My Routine.

Body Measurements Button

You may wish to keep track of your changing body as you follow the weight change recommendations issued by Weight Loss Program. You can track the circumference of your biceps, chest, waist, hips and thighs, if you regularly enter the measurements. To enter them, you can use the Body Measurements button on the right. For more information, see Body Measurements.

My Menu

My Menu is the area where you enter everything you have eaten during the day. Weight Loss Program uses the energy value of the foods you have added to My Menu to calculate your daily caloric intake and give you a recommendation.

To add a food to My Menu, click the Add Food button on the right below the My Menu area. For more information, see Adding Food to My Menu.

My Routine

My Routine is the area where you enter all the activities you have performed during the day. To calculate your daily caloric expenditure and give you a recommendation, Weight Loss Program uses the information about the number of calories burned during the activities you've added to My Routine.

To add an activity to My Routine, click the Add Activity button on the right below the My Routine area. For more information, see Adding Activity to My Routine.
